MIDAS is a technology company built on a partnership of the top minds in wireless technology and business leaders. Over the years, it has successfully developed and implemented viable technologies for the last mile in the access network.

With solutions ranging from toll-quality voice and dedicated Internet access to meet the needs of far-flung communities to the typical broadband needs of densely populated urban communities... MIDAS is fast becoming the preferred access solution provider in emerging markets.

MIDAS' current activities in access technologies include "corDECT", a fixed wireless access solution, to cater to the 'last-mile' need of service providers and "optiMA", a fiber in local loop platform, capable of providing telephony and broadband services suitable for urban markets.

Product to be exhibited:
Midas will be showcasing corDECT, a complete fixed wireless access network solution offering simultaneous voice and Internet on a single line.

What to see: Midas will be showcasing corDECT, a complete fixed wireless access network solution offering simultaneous voice and Internet on a single line. corDECT demonstrates advantages in terms of cost, low initial investment and performance. corDECT is a complete Access Solution providing right from network elements, interfaces with the PSTN, internet connectivity and the network management software. These benefits have resulted in Midas being chosen by all Operators providing basic services for deployment in substantial numbers in areas where they find it difficult to reach. corDECT is currently being used by all major Telecommunication Operators in India and is also being used in more than 14 developing countries.

Midas has also launched an Access Solution for the typical urban area, which has requirements for higher bandwidth and enhanced features – optiMA 200. This is an optical fibre based Access system. optiMA-200 is a Digital Loop Carrier (DLC) and extends services from the exchanges to subscriber. The system delivers voice and data services to customers and scales up cost-effectively.
