The 28th of March 2000 was the final day of
ARABCOM 2000 which was held from 25-28 March at Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel, and
Beirut Hall site, Beirut Lebanon.
ARABCOM 2000 was held Under the Auspices of the Lebanese Minister of Post &
Telecommunications Dr Issam Naaman with the collaboration of the Ministry ,in the presence
and participation of the ITU, Arabsat , the League of the Arab states, Gulf Co-operation
Council, European Commission, Arab sates Ministers of Telecom. Operators attended by
manufacturers, suppliers, consultants, Top Telcos decision makers & investors Chamber
of Commerce, High ranked Military officials and many others
The Event attracted over 10,000 professional visitors including 15 Arab states Telecom
Ministers , Minister Representative, and Ministerial Delegations in addition to a large
number of , International Organization, a large number of highly placed VIPs from both
government and Industry, who came to see the latest technologies on display from
Telecommunications, to information technology and other communications sectors.
ARABCOM 2000 was the 3rd event of its kind to be organized by Hitek magazine & The
Xperimental Group both professional and specialized in Telecom field since 1993 in Lebanon
and the region with a rich portfolio of over 10 Telecom shows and 56 congresses
